Karl, your hotelier, was born and raised on a farm near Lubbock, Texas and vacationed with his family in the Cloudcroft area, spending many weekends at Bluff Springs between Cloudcroft and Sunspot. He has longed to return and purchase a small cabin operation like the Cabins at Cloudcroft to provide a little bit of his slice of heaven to vacationers wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or offer a stark contrast to the flatlands of the Llano Estacado.
Karl served in the US Army from 1978 until 2000 retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. His assignments included Fort Lewis, Washington, Fort Bragg, NC, Fort Sill, OK, Searcy Arkansas (Recruiting Station Commander,) Heilbronn, Grafenwoehr, and Mannheim Germany, Soto Cano Honduras, and Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
If you are on active duty, retired, in the Reserve or National Guard forces, or served honorably in any branch, and make your reservation by calling our office we will apply a 10% discount to your stay. (Cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or during the off-season from January through Memorial Day, and not available if you book through an Online Travel Agency.)
